The marine and aviation industry need high-quality fuel to
run gas turbines and cleaner jet fuel for the refueling of airplanes
respectively. However, fossil fuels like petrol and diesel as well as
hydrocarbon based solvents that are used in different operations become impure
due to the presence of debris and even water making them unfit for use. By
using solvent recycling, they can be freed from unwanted impurities like free
water, emulsified water and dirt to get cleaner fuel for running various
machines. It is done with the help of latest technologies and designs like
water selective membranes, fuel and solvent resistance membrane, cross-flow filtration
and spiral-wound membrane cartridges. In the solvent recycling system,
the two-stage filtration and separation process is merged into a one-stage
process through these technologies. Such system is very useful in providing
high-quality aviation and commercial fuels as well as in the purification of
oil refinery products.
